This is an introductory course aimed at staff working in imaging departments in North West England & London NHS trusts who wish to develop a basic knowledge/awareness in the delivery of improvement projects. Delegates will be required to apply learning to relevant QI project as part of the course. London MR IQ: Optimizing MRI Image Quality Study DayThe study Day is aimed at MRI Radiographers of all experience levels- with a strong focus on developing confidence in Image Quality optimization, optimizing throughput and ensuring overall patient comfort/satisfaction.Learning outcomes:Scan techniques & pulse sequences Basic Acceleration techniquesMRI Imaging Parameters & Trade-offsRecognition and rectification of ArtifactsAI techniques for throughput management Optimal coil handling

 The course has been put together by a collaboration of Medical Physics departments in and around London with the aim of providing high quality RPS training in an online format during the Covid-19 pandemic.Course material will be delivered through e-learning in advance of the "live" training day, online lectures and virtual workshops in small breakout groups. Delegates will have the opportunity for discussion with an RPA. For those wishing to receive a certificate of RPS training, there will be a short open-book assessment.The core of competence stated in the HSE Ionising Radiations Report No. 6 for Radiation Protection Supervisors will be covered. The lectures and workshops will draw on the wide range of experience of our RPAs and Clinical Scientists.Details of the learning to be completed in advance of the training day will be sent to you after registration.The final timetable and details of how to join the live training will be emailed a few days before the event.

A new webinar series developed in collaboration with the BSIR and East of England Imaging Academy - delivering a series of free, weekly webinars designed to teach the core components of the first three years of the RCR clinical radiology curriculum. The content will be expertly delivered by clinicians identified by each Special Interest Group (SIG). These valuable, one-hour sessions will take place every Wednesday at 1pm via Zoom, running from September 2025 to July 2026. Attendance is free of charge for members and non-members based in the UK and registration is not required.This course is for UK attendees only- it will be available to all UK and global RCR members and Fellows on RCR Learn within two weeks of the session taking place
